U151E AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE: TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL Removal

2. REMOVE BATTERY Removal

3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET Removal

10. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT

11. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the nut from the control shaft lever.
(b) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the control shaft lever.

(d) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the No. 2 transmission control cable bracket.

(e) Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the vehicle.

(f) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the cable end from the shift lever assembly.
(g) Turn the socket of the transmission control cable assembly counterclockwise and remove the stopper cap.
(h) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever assembly.
