U151E AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE: TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the socket of the transmission control cable assembly to the shift lever assembly.
(b) Connect the control cable end to the shift lever assembly.
(c) Push the stopper cap to the socket as shown in the illustration.
(d) Turn the socket of the transmission control cable assembly clockwise and install the stopper cap.
NOTICE:
- To prevent torsion of the inner cable, the end with protrusion should face up.
- Push the cable end to the bottom of the pin.
- Confirm that the connection between the socket and the shift lock control unit is secure.





(e) Install the transmission control cable assembly with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 4.9 Nm (50 kgf-cm, 43 in-lbf)






(f) Connect the transmission control cable assembly to the No. 2 transmission control cable bracket.
Torque: 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)






(g) Temporarily install the transmission control cable assembly to the control shaft lever with the nut.






(h) Connect the transmission control cable assembly to the bracket with a new clip.

8. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

9. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

10. INSTALL BATTERY Installation

11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL Installation

12. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION Adjustments

13. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION On-Vehicle Inspection
