Removal








AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from deploying Service and Repair.

3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
4. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

9. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

10. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

11. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

12. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

13. REMOVE BATTERY

14. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET

15. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

16. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

17. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

18. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER HOSE

19. DISCONNECT COOLING FAN ECU CONNECTOR

20. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE Removal

21. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch) Removal

22. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch) Removal

23. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

24. SEPARATE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

25. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY AND FAN ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR

26. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the compressor and magnetic clutch.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

27. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the compressor and magnetic clutch.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.
NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

28. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH






(a) Disengage the clamp.
(b) Disconnect the connector.






(c) Disengage each clamp.
(d) Disconnect the connector.






(e) Remove the 4 bolts and the compressor and magnetic clutch.
