Airbag Sensor Connectors

DISCONNECTION OF CONNECTORS FOR FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR, SIDE AND CURTAIN AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY AND CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) While holding both sides of the outer; slide the outer in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration.





(b) Release the lock of the connectors, and then disconnect the connectors.

HINT: Be sure to hold both sides of the outer. If holding the top and bottom, the outer will obstruct disconnection.






CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS FOR FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR, SIDE AND CURTAIN AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY AND CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Align the male connector (on the side of sensor) and female connector as shown in the illustration and fit them without rubbing.

(b) As they are fitted, the outer slides rearward. Press it until the outer returns to its original position again.

If not, connectors will separate.

(c) Be sure to fit the connectors until they are locked. After fitting, pull them slightly to check that they are locked. When locked, make sure that the outer returns to its original position and a click sound is heard.

HINT:
- Do not fit them while holding the outer.
- When fitting, the outer slides. Do not touch it.


DISCONNECTION OF CONNECTOR FOR AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Pull the lever by pushing the part A as shown in the illustration and disconnect the holder (with connectors).

HINT: Perform the following procedures when replacing the holder.

(b) Remove the holder.

(1) Using a screwdriver, remove the retainer.

(2) Release the claw fitting and remove the holder.

(c) Install the holder.

(1) Install the connector to the holder. When locking, a click sound should be heard.

(2) Install the retainer.

CONNECTION OF CONNECTOR FOR AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Firmly inert the holder (with connectors) until it cannot be pushed any further.

(b) Push the lever to connect the holder (with connectors). When locking, a click sound should be heard.

HINT: The holder slides when connected. Holding the holder when connecting may result in an insecure connection.
