With Generic Scan Tool

Clear the DTC

The following actions will erase the DTCs and freeze frame data.
- Operating the OBD II scan tool or hand held tester to erase the codes (see the instruction manual for the OBD II scan tool or the hand held tester).
- Disconnecting the battery terminals or EFI1 fuse from the engine room R/B No.1 for more than 60 seconds. After clearing DTC, perform the INITIALIZE procedure.

HINT: When operating an OBD II scan tool (complying with SAE J1978) or hand held tester to erase the codes, the DTCs and freeze frame data will be erased (see the OBD II scan tool s instruction manual for further details).
