Auxiliary Step / Running Board: Service and Repair

REPLACEMENT

HINT: On the RH side, use the same procedures as on the LH side.

1. REMOVE LH STEP SUB-ASSY
a. Remove the 6 bolts holding the side step assy to the side step brackets.
b. w/ Step lamp:
Disconnect the step lamp wiring connector.

c. Remove the side step assy.

2. REMOVE SIDE STEP BRACKET
a. Remove the 6 bolts and 3 brackets.

3. INSTALL SIDE STEP BRACKET
a. Install the 3 brackets with the 6 bolts.

Torque: 19.5 N.m (199 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)

4. INSTALL LH STEP SUB-ASSY
a. Install the step sub-assy with the 6 bolts.

Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)
