Removal and Installation
COMPONENTS
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE COOLING UNIT
2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT FROM RADIATOR
HINT: It is necessary to drain out all the coolant.
3. DISCONNECT WATER HOSES FROM HEATER RADIATOR PIPES
a. Using pliers, grip the claws of the hose clips and slide the clip along the hose.
b. Disconnect the water hoses from heater radiator pipes.
HINT: At the time of installation, please refer to the following items.
^ Push the water hose onto the heater radiator pipe as far as second ridge on the pipe.
^ Install a hose clip in the position as shown in the illustration.
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND REINFORCEMENT
5. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE
Remove the 4 nuts and nozzle.
6. REMOVE AIR DUCT
a. Remove the 3 screws and theft deterrent ECU, wireless door lock ECU.
b. Release the 2 claws and remove the air duct.
7. REMOVE HEATER UNIT
Remove the 2 rivets and heater unit.
HINT: At the time of installation please refer to the following item.
Do not reuse the 2 rivets.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
