Removal and Installation




COMPONENTS

REMOVAL




1. REMOVE AIR OUTLET GRILL
Using a screwdriver, release the 6 claws and remove the grill.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY




a. Remove the 2 screws and pull the heater control assembly, then disconnect the connector.




b. Disconnect the heater control cables.
1. Using a screwdriver, open the claws of outer cable clamp and disconnect outer cable.
2. Disconnect the inner cable.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.




1. AFTER INSTALLATION, INSPECT HEATER CONTROL DIALS OPERATION
Turn the control dial left and right and check for stiffness and binding through the full range of the lever.
If there is stiffness or binding, proceed to next step.

2. ADJUST HEATER CONTROL CABLES
a. Remove these parts:
1. Air outlet grill
2. 2 heater control assembly set screws
3. LH quarter trim plate




b. Set the heater control assembly to hook of air duct temporary.
c. Set heater control dial to these positions.
1. Mode control dial to "FACE"
2. Temperature control dial to "Max. COOL"




d. Adjust mode control cable.
1. Connect the inner cable to air mix link of rear A/C unit.
2. Clamp the outer cable while holding air mix link to the "FACE" position.




e. Adjust air mix control cable.
1. Connect the inner cable to the air mix link of rear A/C unit.
2. Clamp the outer cable while holding air mix link to the "Max. COOL" position

f. Install these parts:
1. LH quarter trim plate
2. 2 heater control assembly set screws.
3. Air outlet grill
