TOWING RECEIVER HITCH FOR 1996 4RUNNER

The Towing Receiver Hitch P/N 00214-89960, when installed on a 4Runner, requires both the front and rear vehicle tow hooks to be removed and reinstalled in accordance with the installation instructions enclosed in the hitch kit.

1. The tow hooks found on the front and rear of the vehicle, should be removed and reinstalled in the following manner during the installation of the towing receiver hitch:
2. The passenger side front tow hook should be installed on the driver side rear. The driver side rear tow hook should be installed on the passenger side front.
3. The driver side front tow hook should be installed on the passenger side rear. The passenger side rear tow hook should be installed on the driver side front.

Torque fasteners to: 102 N-m (75 lb/ft).
