Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION







1. INSTALL MANIFOLD GAUGE SET
Manifold Gauge Installation/Removal

2. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR


3. DISCONNECT CONNECTOR OF COOLING UNIT


4. RUN ENGINE AT APPROX. 2000 RPM







5. INSPECT PRESSURE SWITCH OPERATION
Using an ohmmeter, check the continuity between terminals 3 and 4, when refrigerant pressure is changed. as shown.

If operation is not as specified, replace the pressure switch.
