Oxygen Sensor: Testing and Inspection

HEATED OXYGEN SENSORS INSPECTION

INSPECT HEATER RESISTANCE OF HEATED OXYGEN SENSORS
(a) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connectors.





(b) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals +B and HT.

Resistance:
Bank 1, Sensor 1: 5 - 7 ohms at 20°C (68°F):
Bank 1, Sensor 2:11 - 16 ohms at 20°C (68°F):

If resistance is not as specified, replace the heated oxygen sensors.
(c) Reconnect the heated oxygen sensor connectors.
