Power Window Motor: Testing and Inspection


INSPECT POWER WINDOW MOTOR OPERATION


2 Door:
Driver's Door







1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2. check that the motor turns clockwise.







2. Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns counterclockwise.

If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.

Passenger's Door







1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, check that the motor turns clockwise.







2. Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns counterclockwise.

If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.

4 Door:
Driver's Door








1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, check that the motor turns clockwise.







2. Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns counterclockwise.

If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.

Passenger's Door







1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, check that the motor turns clockwise.







2. Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns counterclockwise.

If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.

Rear LH







1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2 check that the motor turns clockwise.







2. Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns counterclockwise.

If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.

Rear RH







1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, check that the motor turns clockwise.







2. Reverse the polarity. check that the motor turns counterclockwise.

If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.
