Removal and Installation

Generator:

GENERATOR REMOVAL







1. Disconnect the wire clamp from the rear end cover and wire clip on the rectifier end frame.
2. Disconnect the generator connector.
3. Remove the rubber cap and nut, and disconnect the generator wire.







4. Loosen the pivot bolt, adjusting lock bolt and adjusting bolt.
5. Remove the drive belt.
6. Remove the pivot bolt, adjusting lock bolt and adjusting bolt.
7. Remove the generator.


GENERATOR INSTALLATION







1. INSTALL GENERATOR
a. Temporarily install the generator with the pivot bolt, adjusting lock bolt and adjusting bolt.
b. Install the drive belt.
c. Adjust the drive belt with the adjusting bolt.
d. Tighten the adjusting bolt, adjusting lock bolt and pivot bolt.

Torque:
Pivot bolt
52 N.m (530 kg.cm, 38 ft.lb)

Adjusting lock bolt
18 N.m (185 kg.cm, 13 ft.lb)

e. Connect the generator connector.
f. Connect the generator wire with the nut and rubber cap.
g. Install the wire clamp 'to the wire clip on the rectifier end frame.

2. PERFORM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
Testing and Inspection
