Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair

RECEIVER REMOVAL


1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

INSTALLATION HINT: Evacuate air from refrigeration system.

Discharging & Evacuating System
Charging the System
Leakage of Refrigerant

Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant.

Specified amount:
700 ± 50 g (24.69 ± 1.76 oz.)







2. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT RESERVOIR TANK


3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER DUCT


4. REMOVE RECEIVER
a. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the both tubes.

Torque: 6.0 N.m (60 kg.cm, 52 in.lb)


REMOVAL NOTE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.


INSTALLATION HINT: Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install the tubes.


b. Remove the holder bolt and pull out the receiver.


INSTALLATION HINT: If receiver was replaced, add compressor oil.

Add 10 cc (0.34 fl.oz.)
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

RECEIVER INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
