Removal and Installation

Starter / Component Location:

STARTER REMOVAL

1. Remove the nut, and disconnect the starter wire.

Torque: 8.9 N.m (90 kgf.cm. 78 in.lbf)

2. Disconnect the starter connector.
3. Remove the bolt holding the starter stay to the upper stiffener plate.

Torque: 4.9 N.m (50 kgf.cm, 43 in.lbf)

2 WD:

4 Remove the 3 bolts, nut and starter.

Torque:
(A): 56 N.m (570 kgf.cm, 41 ft.lbf)
(B): 41 N.m (420 kgf.cm, 30 ft.lbf)

STARTER INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
