Removal and Installation

Generator / Components Location:

REMOVAL







1. REMOVE AIR DUCT

2. DISCONNECT ENGINE COOLANT RESERVOIR

3. REMOVE BATTERY

4. REMOVE DRIVE BELT
Loosen the No.1 idler pulley nut and adjusting bolt, and remove the drive belt.







5. REMOVE GENERATOR
a. Disconnect the generator wires and connector from the generator and stay.
b. Remove the 3 bolts and generator.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL GENERATOR
a. Install the generator and stay with the 3 bolts.

Torque:
Generator
50 N.m (510 kgf.cm, 37 ft.lbf)
Generator stay
26 N.m (270 kgf.cm, 20 ft.lbf)

b. Connect the generator wires and connector to the generator and Stay.

2. INSTALL AND ADJUST DRIVE BELT FOR GENERATOR AND PS PUMP
Install and adjust the drive belt with the adjusting bolt and No.1 idler pulley nut.

3. INSTALL BATTERY

4. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT RESERVOIR

5. INSTALL AIR DUCT

6. PERFORM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
