Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) METER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION





REMOVAL
1. Remove air cleaner cap and Mass Air Flow (MAF) meter assembly.
(a) Disconnect the MAF meter connector.
(b) Disconnect the A/C idle-up valve connector.
(c) Disconnect the 2 air hoses for A/C idle-up valve.
(d) Loosen the air cleaner hose clamp.
(e) Loosen the 4 clips, and remove the air cleaner cap and MAF meter assembly.
2. Remove MAF meter from air cleaner cap.
Remove the 2 bolts and MAF meter.
Torque: 6.9 Nm (70 kg.cm, 61 inch lbs.)


INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
