Load Compensator: Testing and Inspection
Load Sensing Proportioning And By-Pass Valve Components:
FLUID PRESSURE CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT
Set Rear Axle Load:
1. Set rear axle load.
(a) Set the vehicle unladen.
(b) Measure the rear axle load and note the value.
(c) Set the rear axle load.
Rear axle load: 920 kg (2,028 lbs.)
Install LSPV Gauge And Bleed Air:
2. Install Load Sensing Proportioning Valve (LSPV) gauge, Special Service Tool (SST) # 09709 - 29018 and bleed air.
3. Raise front brake pressure to following specification and check rear brake pressure.
REAR BRAKE PRESSURE:

Rear Disc Brake:
NOTE: The brake pedal should not be depressed twice and/or returned while setting to the specified pressure. Read the value of rear pressure 2 seconds after adjusting the specified fluid pressure.
4. If necessary, adjust fluid pressure.
Adjust Spring Shaft Length:
(a) Adjust the spring shaft length by turning the adjusting nut.
Low pressure-Lengthen A.
High pressure-Shorten A.
NOTE: For every turn of the adjuster, the fluid pressure will change by about:
Rear Drum Brake: 196.1 kPa (28.4 psi)
Rear Disc Brake: 382.5 kPa (55.5 psi)
Torque Nut:
(b) Torque the nut.
Torque 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
5. Remove LSPV gauge (SST) and bleed brake system. Service and Repair
6. Check for leaks.
