Load Compensator: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect brake lines.
Disconnect Brake Lines:
Using Special Service Tool (SST) # 09751 - 36011, disconnect the brake lines from the valve body.
Torque 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.)
2. Remove Load Sensing Proportioning (LSP) & By-Pass Valve (BV) assembly.
Remove Lock Nut And Disconnect Spring:
(a) Remove the lock nut and disconnect the spring from the lower control arm.
Adjust Spring Shaft Length:
INSTALLATION NOTE: Set spring length A to initial set length with the adjust nut.
Initial set length: 30 mm (1.18 inch)
Torque 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
Remove Mounting Bolts:
(b) Remove the 2 mounting bolts and remove the LSP & BV assembly.
Torque 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.)
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
- After installation, fill brake reservoir with brake fluid, bleed brake system. Service and Repair
- Check and adjust fluid pressure. Testing and Inspection
