Valve Clearance: Adjustments

Do not operate engine with valve cover removed.
1. Remove valve cover, then rotate engine until No. 1 piston is at TDC on compression stroke.
2. Adjust the following valves:
a. No. 1 Intake & Exhaust.
b. No. 2 Intake.
c. No. 3 Exhaust.
3. Rotate crankshaft one complete revolution in normal direction of engine rotation and adjust the following valves:
a. No. 2 Exhaust.
b. No. 3 Intake.
c. No. 4 Intake & Exhaust.
