Valve Clearance: Adjustments

Adjust Valve Clearance.

Temporary Valve Adjustment:

1. Set No.1 cylinder to TDC/compression. Align the mark (groove) with the pointer. The distributor rotor should face as shown.

Valve Adjusting Sequence:

2. Adjust the valve clearance.

The valve clearance is measured between the valve stem and rocker arm adjusting screw. Adjust only the valves indicated by arrows.

Valve clearance (hot):
IN: 0.20 mm (0.008 in.)
EX: 0.35 mm (0.014 in.)

Crankshaft Rotation:

3. Rotate the crankshaft 360°.

Remaining Valve Adjusting Sequence:

4. Adjust the remaining valves indicated by arrows.
