AIRBAG LIGHT ON; DTC B1378 (DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG RESISTANCE TOO HIGH) AND/OR DTC B1382 (PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG RESISTANCE TOO HIGH)

CONDITION:
Airbag light is ON with DTC B1378 (Driver Side Airbag Resistance Too High) and/or DTC B1382 (Passenger Side Airbag Resistance Too High) stored.
CAUSE:
Tension on the wire harness connector under the driver's or front passenger's seat could cause high resistance in the driver or passenger side airbag circuits.
CORRECTION:
Follow the below procedure to inspect the airbag harness connectors under both the driver's and front passenger's seat for proper connection on the 2005 model and driver power seat only on the 2006 model.
Use a nylon tie wrap to secure the harness to the bottom of the seat assembly. See below.

WARRANTY INFORMATION
1. Check for DTCs B1378 and/or B1382. If the DTC are in "Current" status, continue to step 2. If DTC are in "History" continue to step 8.
2. Turn OFF the ignition and Scan tool.
3. Remove the plastic adjuster covers and the four bolts securing the seat to the floor.
4. Move the seat back all the way forward and lift the front side of the seat up to view the underside of the seat.
5. Disconnect the connector and then reconnect the connector.
6. Lower the seat down. Use the scan tool and clear the DTCs from memory.
7. Wait 30 seconds and check DTCs again. If DTCs return, this TSB will not repair the DTCs. Further diagnosis is required. If no DTCs return continue to step 8.
8. If no DTCs recorded, anchor the harness to the bottom of the seat with a 8 inch tie wrap. Make sure there is slack in the harness when the seat is adjusted in full forward, back, up, and down positions. See locations specific to model year and seat type shown above.
9. Re-secure the seat assembly to the floor of the vehicle and re-install the bolt covers. Bolt torque is 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).
