Strut Removal and installation
Front StrutRemoval
1. Raise and suitable support the vehicle.
2. Remove the cap and nuts from the strut upper area.
3. Remove the wheels.
4. On vehicles equipped with an Antilock Brake System (ABS), disconnect the ABS sensor line from the strut assembly.
5. Remove the brake hose E-ring and dislocate the brake hose.
6. Remove the strut bracket bolts and nuts.
7. Remove the strut assembly.
Installation
1. Install the strut assembly and the strut bracket bolts and nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the strut bracket bolts and nuts to 140 Nm (103 ft. lbs.).
2. Locate the brake hose and install the E-ring.
3. Connect the ABS sensor line, if equipped and install the tires.
4. Install the cap and nuts from the strut upper areas.
Tighten: Tighten the strut nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the wheels.
