Rear

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheels.
2. Remove brake hose mounting bolt from caliper. Drain brake fluid into appropriate container.
3. Release parking brake lever and remove caliper pin bolts.
4. Remove caliper from carrier, then the parking brake cable retaining clip.
5. Disconnect parking brake cable from camshaft lever on caliper, then remove cover.
6. Reverse procedure to install.

CALIPER OVERHAUL

Refer to Fig. 9, during overhaul procedure.
1. Remove caliper as outlined above, then clean caliper with brake fluid.

2. Release parking brake lever and remove caliper pins, Fig. 8.
3. Remove parking brake cable E-ring.
4. Disconnect parking brake cable from lever on caliper.
5. Remove cover.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. nstall cover to caliper.
b. Connect parking brake cable to camshaft lever and cable bracket, then the clip and E-ring to bracket side.
c. Install caliper to carrier and tighten caliper pin bolts to specification.
d. Install brake flexible hose to caliper and torque to 14.5-18 lb. ft.
e. Fill reservoir tank with specified fluid and bleed brake system.
