Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
The diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored in EBCM memory can be erased in either of the two ways as follows:1. Method 1, using a Tech-1 diagnostic scan tool or equivalent, select F2 for "Trouble Codes-DTC1".
2. After DTC have been reviewed, Tech-1 will prompt, "Clear Codes," with question mark, then press "Yes", and DTCs will be cleared.
3. Method 2, using ignition cycle default.
4. If no DTC occurs for 100 drive cycles, ignition switch is cycled to the On position and vehicle driven at speed greater than 10 mph, any existing DTCs will be cleared. This is not an acceptable method of clearing ABS DTCs. Use Method 1 to properly clear ABS DTC codes.
