CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Located at the side of air cleaner case, this sensor constantly measures the temperature of the air entering there and convents a change in the air temperature into that in resistance through its thermistor. That is, as air temperature lowers, resistance increases and as it rises, resistance decreases. As air density of the intake air varies with variation in temperature, ECM, by monitoring the resistance, adjusts the amount of fuel injection according to the air temperature.





DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

NOTE:
- When DTC P0108, P0113, P0118, PO123 and/or P0450 are indicated together, it is possible that "Lg/B" circuit is open.
- Before inspecting, be sure to check that ambient temperature is higher than -40°C (40°F).

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1. Clear DTC, start engine and keep it at idle for 1 min.
2. Select "DTC" mode on scan tool and check DTC.
