Malfunction Indicator Lamp: Testing and Inspection

- Turn ON ignition switch (but the engine at stop) and check that MIL lights. If MIL does not light up (or MIL dims), go to "Diagnostic Flow Chart A-1" for troubleshooting.
- Start engine and check that MIL turns OFF. If MIL remains ON and no DTC is stored in ECM, refer to Non-Trouble Code Chart A-2 for troubleshooting.
