1. Loosen cable nuts "A" and "B" as shown, Fig. 2.
2. Shift selector lever to Park position.
3. While pulling outer cable as far as possible in direction of arrow "C", Fig. 2, align nut "B" with bracket and tighten locknut "A". When outer cable is pulled in "C" direction, release shaft spring in steering lock should be depressed fully.
4. After adjustment is complete, ensure the following:
a. With selector lever in Park position, ensure ignition key can be turned from "ACC" to "LOCK" position and removed from ignition switch.
b. Ensure ignition key cannot be turned to Lock position when selector lever is in any other range than Park.
