Wheel Cylinder: Service and Repair

1. Remove drum as outlined under Brake Drum.
2. Remove brake shoes as outlined under Brake Shoe.
3. Loosen brake pipe flare nut. Fluid should not leak out of pipe or cylinder.
4. Remove wheel cylinder mounting bolts, then disconnect brake pipe from wheel cylinder.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten wheel cylinder mounting bolts and brake pipe to specification.
b. Bleed brake system.
