A conventional type starter uses four individually wound magnets to produce a strong magnetic field, which in turn forces the armature to turn against these fields. Because these magnetic fields are constantly opposing themselves, the starter engages until power is lost to the plunger. This starter is used on the Suzuki vehicles, Fig. 3.
