Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair

1. Remove power steering pump as described under POWER STEERING PUMP.
2. Using transfer flange lock holder 09930-40113 or equivalent, remove pump pulley.
3. Remove suction connector bolts, then the pressure switch and flow control assembly, Fig. 5.
4. Remove pump cover bolts, then the cam ring.
5. Remove snap ring and pull out rotor. When pulling rotor out of shaft, be careful not to lose vanes.
6. Remove shaft and oil seal.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Install rotor to shaft with splined part chamfered side facing cover.
