On-Car Inspection

Checking Air Valve:

This is an easy on-car check. For further complete check, remove air valve and check it.

- With engine stopped, remove air valve cap.
- Check visually that air valve is open when engine is cool (engine cooling water temp. is 60° C, 140° F or lower) and closed when engine is hot (engine cooling water temp. 70° C, 158° F or higher).
- Be sure to use new gasket when reinstalling air valve cap.
