Brush & Commutator Test

Refer to Wiper and Washer System/Diagrams during diagnosis and testing procedures.


1. Using a circuit tester, check continuity between blue terminal and black lead wire.
2. If continuity is poor, check brush to commutator contact area.
3. If contact area is fouled, use a cloth dampened with gasoline to clean area.
4. If contact area is coarse or burnt, use a suitable sandpaper to smooth it.
