DTC B1202: Seat Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

CAUTION:
- Be sure to perform Air Bag Diagnostic System Check:H27 Engine Model (Advanced Air Bag) before starting diagnosis according to flow. Diagnostic Strategies
- When measurement of resistance or voltage is required in this flow, use a tester along with a correct terminal adapter from special tool (Connector test adapter kit).
- When a check for proper connection is required, refer to Inspection of Intermittent and Poor Connections:H27 Engine Model (Advanced Air Bag). Intermittents and Poor Connections
- If there is open circuit in air bag wire harness, connector or terminal is found damaged, replace the wire harness, connector and terminal as an assembly.

DTC Will Set when
The voltage measured at passenger seat position sensor circuit is out of specification for specified time.

Flow Test Description
Step 1: Check for DTC.
Step 2: Check for passenger seat position sensor signal.
Step 3: Check for short circuit between passenger seat position sensor circuit and power supply line.
Step 4: Check for short circuit between passenger seat position sensor circuit and ground.
Step 5: Check for open circuit in passenger seat position sensor circuit.
