Transmission Mount: Service and Repair

ENGINE REAR MOUNTING

4WD MODEL





1. When replacement of mounting parts are necessary, torque bolts and nut as specified below.

NOTE: Install torque stopper loosely first, remove any tension, twist motion and rubber to rubber contact, and then tighten it.

Tightening Torque
(a): 50 Nm (5.0 kg-m, 36.5 ft. lbs.)






If aluminum torque stopper housing is used and replacement is necessary, follow step 2 and 3.
2. For replacing torque stopper bush, use special tools (A) & (B) and hydraulic press. Machined surface of housing should be supported by support base.

(A): 09918-96010
(B): 09919-06010






3. Align bush slits to level as illustrated when press-fitting.

2WD MODEL
When reinstalling mounting parts, torque their bolts as specified.

NOTE: After tightening, make sure to lock member bolts of right side by bending lock plate.

Tightening Torque
(a): 50 Nm (5.0 kg-m, 36.5 ft. lbs.)
