Power Steering

1. With engine OFF, check steering wheel play as follows. Move steering wheel from its straight-ahead position lightly in both directions and measure distance along its circumference it must be turned before wheels start to move. It should be within specification below.

Steering wheel play "a": 10 - 30 mm (0.4 - 1.1 inch)





2. Check steering wheel for looseness or rattle by trying to move it in its shaft direction and lateral direction.
