Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.2. Disconnect wiring and high tension cable from coil.
3. Remove ignition coil.
4. Using an ohmmeter, measure primary coil resistance across positive and negative terminals. Coil resistance should be .72--.88 ohms.
5. Using an ohmmeter, measure secondary coil resistance between positive and high tension terminals. Coil resistance should be 10.2--14.0 ohms.
6. Install ignition coil and connect all wiring and cables.
