Parking Brake Lever: Service and Repair
Parking Brake LeverREMOVAL
1) Lift-up the vehicle.
2) Remove the rear tire and wheel.
3) Remove the rear seat cushion.
4) Remove the console box.
5) Loosen the parking cable adjusting nut and console bracket.
6) Disconnect the connector of parking brake switch.
7) Remove the parking brake lever.
8) Unbend the parking brake lever pawls and remove cable.
INSTALLATION
1) Install in the reverse order of removal.
Tightening torque:
Parking brake lever; 18 Nm (1.8 kgf-m, 13.0 ft. lbs.)
Adjusting nut; 6 Nm (0.6 kgf-m, 4.3 ft. lbs.)
2) Be sure to adjust the lever stroke.
