Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Replacement

J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the generator control module cooling system. Refer to Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling (Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling).
2. Remove the drive motor power inverter module bracket. Refer to Generator Control Module Bracket Replacement (Generator Control Module Bracket Reinforcement Replacement).




3. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers reposition the radiator surge tank outlet hose clamp (1).
4. Remove radiator surge tank outlet hose (2) from radiator surge tank.




5. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers reposition the radiator surge tank outlet hose clamp (1).
6. Remove radiator surge tank outlet hose (2) from radiator air separator.
7. Remove the radiator surge tank outlet hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the radiator surge tank outlet hose into the vehicle.
2. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers reposition the radiator surge tank outlet hose clamp (1) and install the radiator surge tank outlet hose (2) to the air separator.




3. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers reposition the radiator surge tank outlet hose clamp (1) and install the radiator surge tank outlet hose (2) to the radiator surge tank.
4. Install the drive motor power inverter module bracket. Refer to Generator Control Module Bracket Replacement (Generator Control Module Bracket Reinforcement Replacement).
5. Fill the generator control module cooling system. Refer to Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling (Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling).
