Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
3. Clean all dirt and debris from the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) module assembly.




4. Remove the BPMV bracket bolts (1).
5. Carefully slide the BPMV module and bracket assembly rearward.
6. Lower the assembly slightly and support with heavy mechanics wire or equivalent.




7. Remove the 2 BPMV bolts (1).




8. Remove the BPMV bracket from the BPMV module assembly (1).
9. Remove the sleeves and insulators from the BPMV module assembly, if necessary.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the sleeves and insulators to the BPMV module assembly, if removed.
2. Install the BPMV module assembly to the bracket (1).





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the 2 BPMV bolts (1) and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).




4. Position the BPMV module and bracket assembly to the vehicle frame.
5. Install the BPMV bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
