Remote Vehicle Start Inoperative

REMOTE VEHICLE START INOPERATIVE

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
The remote vehicle start (RVS) will not operate under the following conditions:
- The hazard switch is in the ON position.
- A current hazard switch DTC is set.
- The vehicle hood is open.
- A current automatic transmission shift lock control system DTC is set.
- The ignition key is in the ignition.
- A vehicle speed signal is detected by the powertrain control module (PCM) or engine control module (ECM).
- A vehicle DTC illuminates the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL).

TEST DESCRIPTION

Step 1 - Step 10:

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
1. The Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle must be performed or misdiagnosis will occur.
