Anti-Theft Radio
Radio and cassette player are equipped with an electronic four-digit anti-theft lock. This four-digit code is programmed at manufacturing and cannot be changed. If the battery is disconnected for more than three minutes, if unit is removed or if otherwise cut off from power, the four-digit code must be entered with the quick-selection buttons as follows:1. Turn radio on, then, when display shows "Code In," enter four-digit code with quick-selection buttons. If code is correct, last-tuned radio frequency is shown on display. If wrong digit has been entered by mistake, all four digits must be entered again. If code is wrong it stays on display.
2. If incorrect four-digit code has been entered, press Band button for more than three seconds to clear display. Display shows "Code In" and new attempt to enter correct code can be made.
3. If wrong code has been used three times in succession, four dashes appear on display and you must wait an hour with radio switched on before trying again.
4. To try again, hold Band button for at least three seconds. "Code In" should appear on display.
5. Correct code must be entered at first attempt, otherwise you must wait another hour with unit switched on before trying again.
