A new fuel pump assembly is being introduced as a running change on M88-1/2-9000S models. The Walbro fuel pump assembly is designed for better fuel pick-up. This service bulletin contains removal, installation and servicing procedures for the Walbro assembly.

The system operation and components are similar to the Bosch assembly except, for the method in which the canister is supplied with fuel. The Bosch system uses an electrically driven feed pump (pre-pump), whereas, the Walbro system uses a venturi (ejector) driven by the fuel returned to the tank. The venturi (ejector) contains no moving parts and supplies the canister solely on "venturi effect".
