A new special tool is now available for checking the total toe-in on all models. This tool gives the technician a fast and effective method for checking total toe-in while performing routine services. The complete tool consists of three components which are sold under the following two part numbers:

Bar and Adjustable Jig 88-19-054

Dial Gauge 88-19-062

The tool is intended for checking total toe-in only. If the adjustment is found to be out of specification, the frontend alignment should be checked and/or adjusted using calibrated equipment.

This is not a required special tool and purchase of this tool is made strictly at the dealers' option.
Care and Handling

The following precautions should be taken to protect the gauge, when the tool is not in use.

1. Close the tool by sliding the adjustable jig across the bar, so the fixed jig will help protect the gauge when the tool is not in use.

2. Do not leave the dial gauge pin locked in position.

3. Store in a warm dry place, hung securely on the wall, if possible.
