Application: 900, 9000 1985-89 with the LH Fuel Injection System and Non-Ejector Type Fuel Pumps


A replacement service fuel pump assembly has been developed to eliminate a complaint of poor driveability or noisy operation that can be associated with the non-ejector (feed pump) type fuel pump. The service fuel pump, P/N 89 81 730, is an ejector type that can be fitted to naturally aspirated "S" models, 900 86-88, 9000 87-mid-88 and turbo models, 900 85-89, 9000 86-89.

The following service procedure is applicable to 900 models only. See S.I. 03/90-1225 for the service procedure applicable to 9000 models.
