EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM VARIANTS, M82 900, 900S AUTOMATICS
1500 M82's with normally-aspirated engines and automatic transmissions were built with Bosch CIS fuel distributor 0 438 100 032, air flow sensor
0 438 020 139 and Lambda control unit 0 280 800 035. Although these parts are catalogued only as fitting "1981 ALL", this is a certified variation for M82 and is not a misbuild. There is no performance or fuel economy difference with this alternate configuration.
On M82 cars so equipped, note that when checking/adjusting the CIS or Lambda system, the pulse ratio will be 60/40 (not 50/50 as on other M82 Saabs) with the engine running and oxygen sensor disconnected.
Note:
When repairing the system always use exact replacements (same manufacturer number as was on the original component installed on the vehicle). Do not mix components catalogued for other 1982 Saabs. The fuel distributor, air flow sensor and Lambda control unit numbers given above are to be used together as a set only.
