Anti-Knock Bearing, Replace

This procedure can only be done on vehicles equipped with manual steering.
1. Remove axial ball joint, refer to ``Axial Ball Joint Assembly, Replace'' procedure.
2. Turn steering wheel to full lock position, then pry out anti-knock bearing using a suitable screwdriver.
3. Clean rack and anti-knock bearing bore, then coat rack and bore with Molykote BR 2 or equivalent.
4. Install new anti-knock bearing. Ensure each bearing tab is installed in slot (A), Fig. 12.
5. Install axial ball joint.
