P2183
P2183Diagnosis information - Control unit DME (DFI)
Coolant temperature Radiator output implausible
Diagnostic conditions
- Driving > 10 Minute(s), at:
- Engine start temperature < 40 °C (°F)
- Engine speed > 2,000 1/min
- Vehicle speed 20 ... 60 km/h
- here Heating to > 70 °C (158 °F) Coolant temperature
- none of the following faults stored: P0116, P0117, P0118, P0119, P050C, P3081, P3082
Possible fault causes
- Coolant temperature sensor Engine (See [Information] 1)
- Air intake Radiator covered
- Coolant temperature sensor Radiator output Faulty
Fault setting condition(s)
- Coolant temperature Radiator output is approx. > 25 °C (°F) warmer than Engine temperature (See [Information] 1), at:
- Engine start
or
- Heating Coolant temperature Radiator output < Nominal value (calculated), at:
- Diagnosis end (See [Information] 2)
INFORMATION
1. Engine temperature = Intake air temperature (as substitute value for Coolant temperature Engine):
- if fault has been previously detected in the system P0116, P0117, P0118, P0119, P050C, P3080, or P3081
-->The following fault can occur during the next drive :
- > P2183 - Coolant temperature Radiator output implausible<
2. Diagnosis ends under the following conditions:
- Coolant temperature Engine > 70 °C (°F), then:
- Certain conditions must be met for a total time (Vehicle speed,Engine speed, Power supply Thermostat).
