Removing and installing ATF pan

Preliminary work for ATF pan
1. Move selector lever to position P.
2. Remove underbody cover.
3. Support the transmission with a transmission jack and mounting plate. When doing this, place a suitable piece of wood underneath so that the weight is distributed evenly on the ATF pan.

4. Remove transmission support.
5. Support the transmission at the screw-on point for the transmission support.

-> Let the fluid cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.
Information
Make sure to use steel screws when fitting the ATF pan.
1. Place a drip pan underneath.
2. Open the oil drain plug and drain oil.

3. Remove heat protection on the transmission.

4. Remove heat shield on the transmission.

5. Unscrew fastening screws securing ATF pan to transmission.

6. Remove ATF pan.
Installing ATF pan
Information
Make sure to use steel screws when fitting the ATF pan.
1. Clean the sealing surface on the transmission.
Information
To ensure that the ATF pan will not leak, it must always be replaced following removal.
2. Install a new ATF pan and tighten fastening screws hand-tight.
3. Tighten fastening screws in the specified sequence. -> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)±1 Nm (± 0.5 ftlb.)

4. Screw in and tighten oil drain plug -arrow- on the new ATF pan. -> Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ftlb.) +3 Nm (+2 ftlb.)

5. Fit heat shield on the transmission. -> Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)

6. Fit heat protection on the transmission.

Information
Use only oil approved by Porsche.
3. Open the oil inspection plug -arrow- and fill in oil using manual metering pump WE 1372 until oil overflows.

4. Check and top up ATF.
5. Install underbody cover.
