Preliminary work for replacing Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)

1. Remove PDK. -> 373419 Removing and installing Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) - section on "Removing" 373419 Removing and installing Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)

Removing parts

1. Pull the connecting shaft out of the old transmission.
2. Remove heat shield -1-.

3. Remove transmission support. -> 373837 Disassembling and assembling transmission support Service and Repair

Fitting parts

1. Replace sealing ring on the connecting shaft.
2. Fit heat shield -1-. => Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)

Subsequent work for Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)

1. Install PDK. -> 373419 Removing and installing Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) - section on "Installing" 373419 Removing and installing Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
2. Start the engine.
- Press the brake pedal
- Shift the gear lever slowly through P-R-N-D three times

3. Read out the ATF temperature using PIWIS Tester II 9818 until the temperature is 60 °C.
Menu structure:
3.1. Select PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) control unit
3.2. Submenu: Actual values/Input signals
3.3. Submenu: CAN output signals for transmission sump temperature
4. Perform PDK calibration (complete process) using PIWIS Tester II 9818.
Menu structure:
4.1. Select PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) control unit
4.2. Submenu: Maintenance/repairs
4.3. Read out the PDK fault memory and check whether faults are present.
4.4. If faults are present, correct the faults according to Guided Fault Finding instructions.
4.5. Erase the fault memory, then switch the ignition off and on again.
4.6. Submenu: Calibration (complete process)
5. The Tester displays the message Calibration successful. Press >>. Follow the instructions on the Tester.
5.1. Press F8 and >> to erase the PDKit fault memory.
5.2. Select Calibration post preparation and press <<
6. Select the Overview menu for an overview of all control units and press F7. Then select Read out all fault memories and erase if required and press >> to erase all fault memories.
7. Switch off the engine.
8. The ATF must cool down to 40 °C for the final oil check.
9. Check ATF. -> 370235 Checking and topping up ATF 370235 Checking and Topping Up ATF
10. Perform a test drive. Read out the fault memory for all control units after the test drive.
